Social Rules Evening – 7pm 8th January 2019 at Hong Kong Club

Dear Member,

The USGA and R&A will be introducing the biggest changes to the Rules of Golf in a century when the revised Rules are brought into force on 1st January 2019.  Over 20 major changes will be made to the rules that we have become accustomed to our whole playing life.

With the objective of preparing their members for this change, the Hong Kong Club Golf Society has arranged a social evening at the Hong Kong Club in their private function rooms on 8th January and they have kindly opened the evening to members of the HKFC Golf Society as their guests.

Dr Brian Choa has kindly offered to lead everyone through the rules changes.  Dr Choa is Chairman of the HKGA’s Championship Committee, having served as Rules Chairman 1993-2018 and member of the R&A’s Rules Committee 1997-2008.  Drinks and light refreshments will be available, and the presentation will be followed by a light hearted quiz with fabulous prizes available for those demonstrating the best absorption of the new Rules.

Places will be limited and allocated to GS members on a first come first served basis.  $100 charge will be made to Members’ accounts towards the cost of the refreshments.

This should be a fun, and highly informative evening.

1. The HK Club has a dress code as follows:-

Collared shirts required

No sandals/open shoes

No blue denim

No ripped trousers

No trainers
